AJ Frena
AJ, a freelance illustrator from North Texas, began making art at a young age, drawing inspiration from their childhood like The Lion King and RPGs such as Fallout and Final Fantasy 7. After studying at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, AJ now calls Pittsburgh, PA home.
AJ’s artwork is a reflection of their love of nature and literature. Outside of art, AJ finds inspiration in writing and post-punk music, piles of books, Star Trek, taking care of their animals, and being an ESL tutor and volunteer. Their journey as a cancer survivor has shaped both their personal and creative pursuits.
AJ is currently represented by the Poster Posse.
